Xi’an International Studies University

Founded in 1952, XISU is one of the earliest four state universities to offer B.A. degrees in the field of foreign languages in P.R. China. It is also the only state university for foreign languages study in the whole Northwestern region in China.

School of Central Asia·School of Chinese Studies

School of Central Asia·School of Chinese Studies is the first educational establishments responsible for teaching Chinese as a foreign language in the northwest. It is an executive member of the International Chinese Education Association and a head member of the Shaanxi Educational Research for International Students. It is also authorized by the Ministry of Education of P.R.China to accept state scholarship and CIS (Confucius Institute Scholarship) students. School of Central Asia recruits native students from the countries along the Silk Road with the purpose to train local experts in sinology.

The school has two professors and eleven associate professors. There are 25 part-time instructors who offer sinology classes in foreign languages for students with lower level Chinese proficiency. 80% of our instructors have overseas teaching experiences in sinology.

Undergraduate Degrees: Regional Economic Development and Management, International Economics and Trade, Teaching Chinese as a Second Language, Tourism Management, International Relations

Graduate Degrees: Master of Regional Economics, Master of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language, Master of Translation and Interpreting.

Note	1. Students are required to pay in full in RMB within two weeks after school begins. Those who fail to do so should state their reasons clearly to the office. 2. The fees of the Short Term Program listed above are only for courses, if fees of excursions, food and accommodation are also needed, please email to xisuadmission@163.com or admission@xisu.edu.cn for further information. The final quote will be confirmed on the agreement. 3. Text books is about 300 RMB depending on class size. 4. Registration fee is required for each new semester. 5. X1 Students are required to apply for residency permit within 30 days upon entry into China. One year residency permit fee is 400 RMB. Bring your official Medical Report Authentication issued by Shaanxi Sanitation and Quarantine Station with you when you apply. The official authentication fee is 60 RMB. Medical Report includes chest X-ray, blood test report (HIV AIDS, STDs, HCV). The fee for Medical Examination by Shaanxi Sanitation & Quarantine Station is 415 RMB. All above fees are paid by students. 6. 1,000 RMB accommodation deposit is refundable when you leave.
